Troy-Miami County Public Library is a 

U.S. Passport Acceptance Facility

          Applicants can apply for new passports in
          person by appointment only.

          Generally, appointments are available
          Tues & Thurs between 10:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
          and Wed 2 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.    

What to bring?

• Completed Application (See Fillable PDF DS-11 below) 
• A valid picture ID (driver’s license, military ID) & a copy of the identification front & back
• Original or certified copy of birth certificate & a copy
• Old passport (if applicable)
• Naturalization papers (if applicable)
• Passport photo (or use our photography service for a fee of $15.00)

• Acceptable forms of payment
  • Check or Money Order for payment to the U.S. Dept. of State
  • Cash, Check or Money Order for payment to the library (TMCPL)

What will it cost?

NOTE: Two separate payments are required.

• Application fee is paid directly to the U.S. Department of State by check or money order ONLY.
• Execution fee is paid directly to the acceptance facility (TMCPL) by cash, check or money order.

NOTE: Optional Add-on fees.

1. Expedited Processing Fee - $60.00 (2-3 weeks vs 6-8 weeks)
2. 1-2 Day Application Delivery - $28.75 (Application to State Dept.)
3. 1-2 Day Passport Book Delivery - $19.53 (Passport to Applicant)
4. File Search Fee - $150.00

Need a passport photo? We offer photography service on-site for a fee of $15.00. 

Renewing your passport? We cannot process passport renewals, i.e. adults whose most recent passport is soon to expire or expired within the past 5 years. See instructions for Renewing by mail.
