Looking for a special gift for someone on your shopping list? Consider giving the gift of reading by donating to the library in honor of a loved one or friend. For a donation of $25, the library will purchase a new children's or adult book (your choice) which will be added to the library's collection. Books can be personalized with a bookplate if requested.
The library is a 501c3 and donations are tax-deductible. With your donation, please include your name and phone number and whether or not you want a bookplate on your item. For more information, contact Jessica Silvers at 937-339-0502, ext. 118.
There are many other ways to give, from monetary donations to materials donations:
- Donations in memory of a loved one. Remember a loved one with a book for the library collection on a subject of your choice.
- Donate to the library's endowment fund at the Troy Foundation.
- Donate to the library for capital improvement projects. Future projects will include new carpet, renovations to the children's area, and a new area for new books and comfy seating.
- Donate gently used bestsellers and DVDs. The library adds over 1,000 donated items to the collection every year. Even older movies and books can be used to replace popular items in bad condition. If we don't use the donations in our collection, they can be sold through the Friends of the Library sale to raise money to support the Summer Reading program and other projects.
