Troy-Miami County Public Library
LIBRARY eCARDS
A Troy-Miami County Public Library eCard is a library card that Ohio residents can apply for online if they are interested in an “online only” relationship with the library. This card is for Ohio residents ONLY.
Physical materials at our library locations cannot be checked out with an eCard, however, eCards can be upgraded to a standard library card by showing valid photo ID and proof of address when you visit any of our libraries or the bookmobile.
Search Ohio and OhioLINK
- If you cannot find the item you want in the TMCPL catalog, search the SearchOhio or OhioLINK catalogs. (Look for the SearchOhio logo or the words OhioLINK on the catalog page when your search in our local catalog is completed.)
- When item is located, click on REQUEST THIS ITEM.
- Choose Troy-Miami County Public Library from the drop-down list.
- Enter your NAME, your LIBRARY CARD NUMBER and PIN.
- Choose the pickup location from the drop-down menu.
- Click SUBMIT.
- The item will come from the lending library and be delivered to your pickup location.
- Once you have placed a hold, you will see the item appear on your holds screen in My Account with a status of Requested. You can cancel any unfulfilled holds by logging onto your account in the library catalog and going to your Requests.
- When the item has been shipped, its status will show as In Transit. Once the item is shown as In Transit, you can no longer cancel the hold.
- Once the item is ready and available for you to pick up, its status will show as Received and you will receive a courtesy notice letting you know that it has arrived. The courtesy notice will come via your preferred method - text, email, phone or mail.
- Upon return, the item(s) remain on a patron’s account until the item is received and checked in at the loaning library.
- Items are usually available within 5-7 business days.
- Items will remain on the hold shelf at the pickup location for 10 days.
- The loan period is 21 days. All items may be eligible for up to 3 renewals.
- There will be a $25 charge for any unreturned or damaged SearchOhio item. There will be a $125 charge for any unreturned or damaged OhioLink item.

There are four locations available for sign-ups beginning today, June 1.
• Sign-ups at the Troy Rec and the Lincoln Community Center are during the summer lunch programs.
• Sign-ups at the Troy-Miami County Public Library and the Pleasant Hill Library are noon-4 p.m. June 1-5.

Team up with Troy-Miami County Public Library and your local book store to give the gift of reading to a child in need. Purchase a book at Jay and Mary's Book Center for kids ages birth -18 in need in our community. Choose your favorite or ask for a suggestion at the store.
