Come visit us Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Mr. Owen and his class at Troy High School created a video commemorating Martin Luther King's "I have a Dream Speech." The video will play while the library is open, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Also, give us a "hand" in creating a mural to be displayed through February. Participants may trace their hand, cut it out, and glue it to our mural. This activity is for all ages and will be available all week.
On Monday, August 21 much of North America will experience a total solar eclipse. While Pleasant Hill isn’t in the path of totality, we will experience a partial eclipse! Please join us for a viewing party in Pleasant Hill at the Gazebo by the soccer fields and to make eclipse chalk art. A limited number of viewing glasses will be available at the event while supplies last.
The library will open at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 18 due to a staff meeting, The book drop will be open for your convenience.
Important Reminder: We are not able to hand out viewing glasses at the library due to our limited supply. The only glasses that will be handed out by us will be on the day of the event at Lost Creek Reserve. The library is partnering with the Miami County Park District for a Solar Eclipse viewing party on August 21; we will be providing the viewing glasses for participants while supplies last. Registration is required for this event. More information is available about this event by visiting the Miami County Park District website.
