Martin Luther King Jr. Video and Activities

Come visit us Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Mr. Owen and his class at Troy High School created a video commemorating Martin Luther King's "I have a Dream Speech." The video will play while the library is open, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Also, give us a "hand" in creating a mural to be displayed through February. Participants may trace their hand, cut it out, and glue it to our mural. This activity is for all ages and will be available all week.

Troy-Miami County Public Library to offer Summer Reading Challenge

Readers of all ages will explore all things about building things and community as the Troy-Miami County Public Library presents their summer library program, Monday, June 5 – Friday, August 4. The 2017 Summer Reading Challenge is designed for children, teens, and adults to read independently and keep track of their reading goal. Activities and events are offered at the library throughout the summer to engage participants and encourage reading.Children and their families may begin registering for the reading challenge on Monday, June 5, 2017.

Food Drive for St. Pat's Soup Kitchen

Come out to help us build a better community, stop in the library any time the week of July 23 through July 29 and donate non-perishable food items for the St. Pat’s Soup Kitchen. The St. Pat's Soup Kitchen owns and operates the Hobart Community Kitchen building. The ministry offers free meals to anyone in need each week night from 5 pm until 6 pm in the building at 25 N. Mulberry St in Troy, Ohio. They are currently in need of the following items; canned fruit, applesauce, peanut butter, canned milk, brownie mix, canned pasta, and other non-perishable items.
